We told you we’ve secured a new work space in Harlem close to Columbia University. So,why would we work so close to such a beautiful institution and not make our presence felt. We called administration and arranged for a personal The BK Circus tour. Lot’s of intelligent women, beautiful architecture, great space and plenty of tradition. On our tour we ran into Rasul from Coup D’etat with some of his boys.

He also brought us a pair of highly soughht after ARI sneaker complete with signage, sticker, poster and all. Good looking out my dude, the gift is very much appreciated. It’s always good to connect and reconnect with folks that get it. He had Al looking like a kid on Xmas morning.

We are going to give you guys a closer look at what we do and how things come to life. You either love this or really hate. We just happen to love it and don’t mind sharing the love with you. In the upcoming weeks we will post allot more of the behind the scene shots. From concept,to design to production, the product getting to the sales floor and into the hands of fly A$$ dudes like yourself. Some folks ask questions about how we come up with ideas, who prints the shirts and blah, blah. We’ll show you clips and see if you can figure it out. It’s really not about who prints your stuff and how you came up with it or who does what. For us it’s really about how disciplined are you to connect the dots. Lastly how dedicated are you to supplying the streets with your passion and hot ish. Stop chasing paper and chase your dream , you’ll make more things happen.

    CIRCUS UPDATE

Too much to list in one posting. The new Big Block Shirts are almost sold out, this is possibly your last public chance to snatch that piece of history. The design will not be reproduced in those colors ever again. unless the Queen of England calls and wants a custom piece, business is business- And that’s good Free press, nah mean.

At any rate, the Black and Pink original BK BLOCKS will remain the classic and will be reproduced in very limited quantities with hidden changes in all production runs to secretly encode and date them. Hold up! are we talking about T-shirts here? yep, THE GAME HAS CHANGED. Not for hype, but for individuality folks. Ok Ouigi let’s move on.

    So onto more circus updates:
Internet at our new work space is patchy and will be up and running fully by Monday. We will post pics and updates from chats with Tsumbe (spelled wrong/sorry my dude) from OMBE in South Orange. We are in talks about a joint project, some fun ish. I think we’ll leave it a secret and suprise even the Circus staff. ha! ha!
GFC:/LACED MAGAZINE : The new mag is coming out next week and the boys are working hard and getting better and better. We met with them and Star Studded- Dee Dee customizer to the Stars (too much to list) about a joint project. We were so pumped , we forgot how hot it was in the office.

Artist Chris Rubino and Kiser joined us for some fun and interesting shirts. They are on the press as we speak. also the City series: starting with The THX| JPN| BKC shirt is also on the press, THX| CHI| BKC and THX| MIA| BKC are coming up. These are shirts thanking all the cities we visited and will visit in the near future for showing THE BK CIRCUS all the love.

    Public email:
Autum send me some more ideas for Chicago and tell Victor from Leaders we want them involved to. Jim in Hawaii shout me out we are coming to see you, Jenelle told me you are crushing them with the parties out there. Gatch and the Special Sauce family in Osaka-Japan, keep up the good work.

Watch out for Dj Kohey and The Circus Music compilation. THE Year BOOK, Holy ish!!!!! THE YEAR BOOK.
Brad we are coming to COCO Beach to shoot some Beach scenes for the Year book.

    BOOK ‘EM
We’ve made the final decision to work on “THE BK CIRCUS” Year book. A collection of pictures, ideas, experiences, people, places and things that left their mark on THE BROOKLYN CIRCUS in 2006. Yep a book. Which means I have to call my travel agent to book (no pun intended) more trips, connect more dots and work overtime to drop more hot ish. Did I mention that we have two major publishers interested in publishing the book. More $$$ more $$$ More $$$. More like more hard work, more hard work, more hard work. If they drop the ball we will publish it ourselves. YEP! I think we are up for the challenge.

Shouts to Sauce and Collin our staff photographers, Keep up the good work boys.
