Fashion. Branding, Streetwear & Movements: Last Sunday the New York Times featured an interesting article on streetwear. It was penned by Rob Walker who followed the folks behind three brands, all of which are rapidly approaching their tipping points. The social contagion that has evolved through streetwear has been both loved & hated, respected & trivialized – but all in all it’s good to see folks aspire to be creative and strive for something more than the status quo. Interesting to us. . .

We take so many pictures that often many don’t make the cut. But with the year book coming up,we will release quite a few interesting pics and shots of interesting people we meet at The Brooklyn Circus or on the road on a day to day. Some stand out because their style is different from the norm. Others because you can tell what they read and what influences them, very interesting to us. The two pics of Ouigi with the Red Alqueda shirt are from a store in Harlem “N” Ouigi and Al visited the other day. It’s a cool store, great staff and a really clean/proffesional layout.

Congrats to Nelson and Mike from Rebel Aire for winning best custom kicks at The International sneaker Battle in Connecticut. The fellas really deserved it. We met them at the first INT’l Sneaker battle a month ago and they had one of the dopest custom collections in the building. We kicked it,they came to the Circus days later where we kicked off a joint project. I must mention their courtesy, humble character and good spirit. Keep posted for sample pics and a drop date of the joint project. MORE FIYAAAAA!
