If you get a chance between now and May 22nd head down to The 2007 Kips Bay Decorator Show House. The Show house opened on Tuesday April 24th and runs through the end of May. I had the chance to head down and see the work of some of the most talented interior designers in the NYC area.
    Plus side:
+The ideas and room designs are truly inspirational.
+The money goes towards keeping The Kipsbay Boys and Girls club running, and keeping our brown babies off the streets.

    The other side:
+It is $30 well worth it considering the cause and the ideas you will leave with from touring the house. So add that to + side.
+If you are not an old, rich white woman, you will be a minority in the house. However,If you truly enjoy beautiful interiors you’ll be right at home.;)
Yep! The Brooklyn Circus, experience is everything. . .

Note: They asked me to put away my camera, so these pics are courtesy of their website’s 2006 Archive.

While I was down on Fillmore & Haight checkin out the Fifty24SF Gallery, I thought I’d pop into DStructure and peep what they had goin on. DStructure is an clothing boutique specializing in snow sports gear while each month they have a featured local Bay Area artist bless their Gallery-like space with their artwork.
Well you know how they say when you’re creatively stumped in your room or office, . . . Open a window. Well this dude Pete Doolittle took that literally and ran with it. Doolittle paints on old vintage windows; his outcome . . . a Cool translucent effect. Apparently for the past few weeks he’s been doing live paintings in the window, on a window. . . ha! go figure. Check it.//

I went to check out the “Show Me Your Heart” exhibit at the Fifty24SF Gallery showcasing the raw photography of Estevan Oriol. I’ve been a big fan of Estevan’s work for awhile so I was pumped when I got the word about this show. For those who don’t know, he’s a Mexican-American photographer/videographer out of East L.A. and runs with dope talents like Mister Cartoon. For this exhibit Oriol teamed up with international renowned Japanese photographer Yasumasa Yonehara aka “Yone” to display the subcultures of Los Angeles and Tokyo, two seriously different cities. ‘No Glitz-NO Glam,’ just naturally beautiful women, captured through the lenses of these ill photographers from two distinct cultural backgrounds.
