Japanese hip hop is on the rise thanks to Def Jam Japan first artist Dabo. Dabo is king in Tokyo so look out for him in the states when the genre comes across the waters. Chilling here with Dabo and Rapper Wise of Stadium style logs. These dudes are hella wild and full of energy. We chilled at this restaurent for no less that 3 hours eating, drinking and talking about fashion, music, women, trends everything you name it. Keep in mind these guys don’t speak much english and we are still working on our Japanese. But the connection through what we mutually love is always the language of choice.
Yep! The Brooklyn Circus, Experience is everything. . .

Special Thanks to the Stadium staff in Daikanyama, Ollie magazine, Tomoko from Source Japan,Stylist Kuro and the photographers for making the shoot an enjoyable one. See you guys in august.

“Language will not get in the way of the heart” not quite a direct quote but Mr.Ogawa aka Gatch from Special Sauce our Japanese distribution company said this when Taka asked him how he communicated with us at The Brooklyn Circus. The gang understands what he means, as Gatch would hang out with us for hours just listening without understanding what we were saying in words, but in his heart and ours we understood our shared love for beautiful things. A year later Gatch serves as a translator for us when we are in Osaka his hometown. To his quote we dedicate this “Inspiration” thread.Yep!
Side note: That won’t stop me on my quest to learn to speak Japanese,I made it public so hold me to it. signed: Ouigi The Bearded man,Yep!

Wad up Chi-town? I know we speak on the back end all the time, but had to give a shout to The Chicago movement while out here in Japan. I think you guys are about to bring some serious heat to Chicago, yep! Hope the Chi is ready for it. A&B we have to schedule a trip to Japan together. Everywhere we go in Japan folks want to know more about The Chicago Solemates x BKc project,Yep!
At any rate the days are starting the melt into each other,American are all starting to look the same and I am relating more to our Japanese friends, weird I know. Meeting after meeting, amazing store after amazing store, more BKc sightings, more pictures, more Japanese food, more flights and so many things to see can wear the kid out. Love it! like Autumn would say, yep! We are not complaining a bit, just wouldn’t mind some Jerk chicken from miss Sonya’s spot or some Haitian food.
The Brooklyn Circus,experience is everything . . .
