Visit the new BKc and Brooklyn Circus blogs for all the latest!
This weekend we got a chance to re-connect with record collector and designer Darien V. Birks, the brain behind the music and design blog flwrpt. We chatted about a design and music project for The New Brooklyn Circus store in NYC and all our stores accross the nation. It’s interesting how, the more people we meet the more we understand that our designed world vision is making sense to more and more people. There are more people out there that appreciate and understand every level of this designed urban world we are trying to build. Come to find out, we’ve chatted with Darien before about the Year book design project. Well we found out that he not only has a good sense of music, but he also has a good sense of design and style, now that’s living The Brooklyn Circus experience, yep!. Yep! The Brooklyn Circus, East coast, West coast and Worldwide . . .
Matt Gorton the other half of the super dope duo that make up the www.onetwentysix.com who as mentioned below, are responsible for some of the heat you see in The Brooklyn Circus graphic collection. Matt and Jon always creatively “Defend The BKc” and our ultimate brand building vision. Matt’s photography coupled with his design talent always has us stocked to review the proofs they send us. I must mention how pleasant it is to also work with these guys, their customer service is BKc Approved!. In this business you meet some talented individuals who are clueless about customer service and running a successful business. I guess that’s why many talents need managers huh? Yep! The Brooklyn Circus, East coast, West coast and World wide . . .

Jon Contino half of the super dope duo that make up the Onetwentysix design studio responsible for some of the heat you see at The Brooklyn Circus. They are big fans of The Brooklyn Circus and we are big fans of their work, which is the fertile ground for all great relationships. I guess that’s why we can say, that we’ve worked with them for the past year and a half and have had nothing but inspirational experiences with them. Jon is on our radar of artist we would love to add to The Brooklyn Circus Artist collection. What up Jon, will you do us the honors? Yep! The Brooklyn Circus, East coast, West coast and World wide…

GabetheGreat here:
So I was driving through Oakland early this morning, I couldn’t help but take these shots. It was inspiring and impressive how this couple was tugging this LOAD of recyclable goods through the streets… in the rain, all for a few bucks. I’ll definitely remember these images and I think you guys should too, when the pressure is high, your hustle could always be worse. Dedication & Determination will get you there, Respect the hustle.
While browsing one of our favorite blogs ” Design Sponge” we ran into an entry about “Trays from Ibride”. On first look all we could think was DOPE! on second look DOPE! and on third look Damn this is DOPE! First and foremost I’ve referenced ” Design Sponge” before on the blog, book mark and chek it out as often as you can, they are on the cusp of fresh new design and everything around it. Secondly, if you know of a place in the states that carries these Ibride trays, call The Bearded Man immediately on his bat phone (212.555.5555) or the store 718.222.9772 and let me know. I wanted to pre-order on this site, but could not wait and figured I’d go this route. As a bachelor these babies would be used as wall art, they are too wicked to use as food trays. At any rate hope someone out there can help and point me in the right direction, for now I am going to stalk them via email about a location in the states that carries their product, wish us well. Banper Hit Japan, has a pretty interesting staff blog, we can’t read a word on it but they do tell their story visually. Hopefully we will get the chance to visit Banper Hit on our next overdue trip to Japan. They are an official account of The Brooklyn Circus and BKc so visiting them will have to be on our calendar of events. If the calendar Gods don’t screw up our plans, we should be in Japan either in late May or early June for two weeks. We are scheduled to have a pretty eventful spring/summer this year so get your ticket, The Brooklyn Travelling Circus is coming to your town. Yep! The Brooklyn Circus, East coast, West coast and World wide . . .
We’ve introduced you to Tiffany Rhodes in the past, when she freelanced with The Brooklyn Circus NYC as a production assistant. Yet we never formally introduced you to her Butchdiva blog and in a recent post comment she made it clear that she was overdue for an official introduction. Ladies and gents, please familiarize yourselves with Butchdiva blog. Not only do we have the most talented group of readers, but we also have an interestng mix of persistent urban entrepreneurs who will not take no for an answer.
