A new,larger space, lovely Boreum Hill, our classic elements in a new environment and lots of new product for you to of course purchase. The wait is over and the dust will settle this Friday as we roll out the red carpet to all of our supportive blog readers, customers, friends and family to help us welcome The New Brooklyn Circus to Bergen & Nevins. Bring a pencil, a note pad, some pocket change and all your thoughts as we open the floor for feedback. Next Stop Chitown. We are cleaning up the site to prepare for the official opening of The New Brooklyn Circus this Friday August 1st and of course you are invited. You are also invited to join us in Chicago the next day (Saturday August 2nd) for the 1 year Anniversary of Solemates + The Brooklyn Circus movement in Linkin Park Chicago. We are scheduled to be at both events so call Jay or Warren Buffet and tell them we need to borrow the private jet to save on precious time needed to celebrate. Yep! As we add the final touches to our attempt at a Women’s collection, we are compelled to share in some of the process with you. yep! we are almost done with the full spring 09′ Women’s collection. As promised ladies your request did not fall on deaf ears. One of the most important aspects of developing the line was to clearly communicate who our female customer was, what drives her and what defines her, so enjoy our first ever collage (not yet the mood board) of The Brooklyn Circus ladies who inspired us as we developed the spring 09′ collection. Check out these behind the scene shots of our DOPE Gold Leaf sign getting hand painted on the front door of the New SF shop. Damon from New Bohemia signs, showed up at 9am and got right to it. I lost my camera the day before but luckily Rubix had his to record this amazing artistic process. This process lasted until about 6pm and it was worth every minute, because the result is SWEET! YOU HAVE to see it in person, it’s most definitely a head turner. Come see us;

The Brooklyn Circus SF, Experience is Everything!
Almost forgot to share in this experience with you guys and post these great pics captured by one of our talented blog photographers at the Nas concert. The team in our Art Department have the luxury of mingling with, or meeting with all the great companies and creative people that drive this industry. Last week, the biggest challenge for them was to decide who gets the only VIP ticket to the Fila + Nas album release event at the Blender Theater. Of course the person that can handle the camera, smile in the VIP section and get picked from the hat went to the event. The event was a full house of die hard Nas fans of all races. Not sure if it was purposely done since Nas’ album is entitled NI**ER, but it was about 112 degrees hot everywhere you turned. Nonetheless the experience was worth every sweat puddle we jumped over to navigate the venue. Special thanks to the entire team at Fila for the invite. Yep!
