We are so thankful for all of the recent press we’ve been receiving. It’s always an honor to have the respect of our peers as our reach grows by the day. During our most recent shopping event in San Francisco, we were blessed to have the legendary Black Thought of The Roots pay us a surprise visit (a BKc Favorite MC). Black Thought was in town to perform with The Roots at San Francisco’s famous Davie’s Symphony Hall. Before his show, he stopped in to check out the shop, chat with fans (they spotted him and followed him in), and of course, pick up his own pieces of The BKc collection. Later that evening, The Brooklyn Circus SF team headed out to catch the show. The attention to detail and showmanship was impeccable and is the reason why The Roots are ranked in the Top 10 live shows in the world. A true inspiration and Experience…

Since the release of our latest spring collection we have received several unsolicited but highly appreciated features from different print magazines, online magazines, blogs, and music videos. The list includes Hybebeast.com, Complex.com, KanyeUniversecity.com, and Bobby Valentino’s “Hands on me” video, and too many more to list them all. New BKc Sample Rings and Necklace available in limited quantity at The New Brooklyn Circus

Our intern Alex has been exploring Brooklyn and NYc in general, taking in all we have to offer. And one thing he noticed is that in Brooklyn you can’t go too far with out seeing a bodega aka “corner store”. There is one on almost every corner in some neighborhoods, how they all survive in the poorest of neighborhoods for so long is a mystery to many. It would be interesting economic case study, there is probably enough valuable information to gather that would fill 3 textbooks. A possible title could be “Brooklyn Bodega: Surviving The Perpetual Recession.” Yep! The Brooklyn Circus, Experience is Everything . . .

In an attempt to grow our current creative team, the challenge of finding Graphic designers, Illustrators and other designers that understand our visual language has been a tough one. However once in a while we do find talent that understand the culture and mood of what we are trying to do. After years of trying to separate The Brooklyn Circus from BKc I think this year’s pool of talent has solved the problem. Stay tuned for The Brooklyn Circus “POP UP CULTURE” shop, featuring all the fun pop, under the tent show that brought us to the scene. Of course BKc will continue it’s journey into the runways of fashion history. Yep!
